Exclusive attractions

The Wang Chapel was built at the turn of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries as a religious building, in Norway, by Vang Lake. The building is an original example of Norwegian art, brought to Karpacz in the mid-nineteenth century. The building is impressive for many reasons, but it is especially unique in that it was constructed without a single nail.

The museum tells the 200-year old story of toy making through its collection of dolls, vehicles, characters from fairy tales, doll houses, etc. A very charming place to visit, for both children and adults.

The theatre offers its audience cabaret and comedy performances, original programs and guest appearances by famous artists. The theatre runs throughout the year, and information about the repertoire is available at: www.teatrnasz.pl.

This museum deals primarily with the diversity and maintenance of the wildlife in the National Park. Come and learn about the history and ethnography of the Karkonosze region, including the local flora and fauna.

The ruins of Chojnik Castle are one of the biggest attractions of the area. Located on the top of the Chojnik Mountain, these ancient castle ruins enrapture with their power, the superb views from the walls and the rich history.

“House of Gerhart Hauptmann”

Gerhart Hauptmann – a German playwright, novelist, and Nobel Prize winner. The museum is located in a beautiful neo-Renaissance villa where Hauptmann spent most of his life, and which is surrounded by a large park. Some of the rooms you can see include the writer’s office, library and salon.
